Jenny asks…

Does online auto insurance quote comparison sites work?

I am shopping for auto insurance in Texas and wondering if the quotes comparison provided online are reliable. Can anyone give me a reputable that has many insurance companies to compare? Thanks.

admin answers:

You could go to an independent insurance broker that represents multiple companies and he can give you comparison quotes. I personally would recommend getting coverage from one of the larger companies such as State Farm, Farmers or Allstate.

Helen asks…

Does Obama really believe his comparison between auto insurance and health insurance is legitimate?

Even W sees the holes in that argument. Is Obama trying to fool the least of us ?

admin answers:

I agree, comparing the two is like apples and oranges.

Betty asks…

Does Saskatchewan have public auto insurance? What are premiums like in comparison with Ontario?

admin answers:

Mandatory auto insurance coverages must be purchased through the government auto insurer (Saskatchewan Government Insurance however they are better known as SGI). Comparing premiums between the two is a waste of time as the two provinces do not have the same population, populations density, climate, demographics, topography, policy coverages, etc. Might as well compare premiums between Ontario and Belgium.

Whats the cheapest car insurance company in Missouri?

I am 20 and attend college. I never needed a car before but now that I have to start driving, I have to get my driver’s license. I have my permit and a car but since I need legal tags and insurance to take the driving test. I have to get insurance before I can get tags. So I wanted to know whats the best insurance company for me, where prices won’t be outrageous??? Thanks for the help: )

admin answers:

You also need a driver’s license to register the car and get the plates as well. Can’t you use your parent’s car for your road test? As for insurance, shop around for the best rate.

Richard asks…

Car Insurance in Missouri?

I need help finding car insurance that is affordable.
My boyfriend moved out of his house 3 months ago and his dad says that he will give him his car back if he gets insurance on it.
He is 17 and cant afford $400 worth of insurance each month. [works at Mcdonalds]
Does anyone know of any cheap insurance?

admin answers:

It’s not based on what you can afford, it’s based on the risk level. At 17, his BEST bet is to drive a $1,000 junker and put minimum liability on it – NO collision or comprehensive. Unless he has a horrible driving record, it should run him less than half of that $400.

But he has to be driving a “paid for” car for that.

George asks…

In the state of Missouri, is my car covered when my son drives it, if he is on his dad’s car insurance and my

insurance is canceled? Legally, does the car have to be covered, the driver, or both?

admin answers:

Insurance follows vehicles, not people, in all states. Not sure what you’re asking. If you have no insurance on your vehicle and your son drives it, his father’s insurance won’t extend to your vehicle. He can always report the accident to them if he has one, and they will have to examine your policy language to determine if the vehicle qualilfies for coverage with them. I am not going to get into the intricacies of an insurance policy, but I’ll say it’s a possibility, but nothing you should bank on.

Bottom line is you can’t “jump” on his father’s policy for coverage just by the mere fact that the son drives the vehicle. If it’s furnished in any way for his regular use, it will most certainly not be covered.

Car insurance is important at any time of the year, but it is even more so in the winter months. Weather and road conditions at this time of the year can be quite bad due to snow, sleet, and other characteristics of this coldest season. If you have to travel long distances now, you can never know what will happen while you are outdoors. If you are in the middle of the freeway and a snow storm suddenly comes up, you could be in serious trouble.

Before deciding to drive in inclement winter weather (And sometimes you just can’t help it.), having your car covered with appropriate car insurance is always advised.
Aside from seeing to it that your car insurance is updated and current at this time, take your car on trips with extra preparations in place for any eventuality that may occur. If caught by a sudden blizzard of snow and icy sleet, you might be forced to sleep out on the road until help comes. It is advisable, then, to take some extra warm gear for this emergency, as well as some food to tide you over while you call for help. Your cell phone must always be with you, too; after all, it could be your only link to the people who can help you.

Car insurance for your car is also important at this time of year because accidents may happen any time on slippery roads. If you suddenly get involved in a vehicular accident, at least you are prepared to answer for car damages either on your own car or on someone else’s vehicle – especially if the accident is caused by you. You know how expensive vehicle repairs are, but at least if you have insurance coverage on your car the insurance company can foot the repair bills for you – which might be in the thousands of dollars. You don’t want to find yourself in the situation of having to pay for the damage out of your own pocket.

A must-do reminder, therefore, that you should put into your head is to check if indeed your vehicle has the necessary car insurance required. You must do this early enough, so you will not have trouble later in the middle of this very cold season of the year. There is really nothing better than being prepared for the unexpected. The car insurance you have bought will at least give you peace of mind.

A car is a necessary for people who need their movement to be easy and convenient, allowing them to travel distances at faster speeds. Owning and driving a car, however, requires meeting a car insurance requirement to register and operate the vehicle legally. This required insurance coverage is helpful though, especially if the car needs repairs after a motor accident because the insurance coverage can take care or help take care of necessary repair expenses.

It used to be a tedious process to find and get insurance coverage for a car, but modern technology has made this easier and faster via online methods of getting auto insurance coverage. For busy individuals, this can save a lot of time. Someone working may not be able to afford the time away from his desk to get that insurance coverage on his car, but he can so the same using the computer on his office desk now. When he searches for insurance firms on the Internet, he will find that many companies now offer their services with just a few emails. You can even get temporary insurance coverage for the car until the official printed form reaches your postal mailbox.

Payment for car insurance coverage can also be taken care of online with your credit card or through other online banking methods now commonly used in the business world.
Taking advantage of this convenient online form of buying car insurance is simple and can save a lot of time, but be aware that you might have to search more thoroughly to ensure you’re getting the best deal available rather than the first one that strikes your fancy.
